Another Great Brocade in my 125W MV trap last night August 25 but not the same individual as before. This one was much duller in overall appearance and the marking not so bold. Scandinavian origin?

I found a convolvulus hawk moth on my patio this morning. I haven't seen one of these for 40 years! It allowed me enough time to get near to it to identify it before flying off. Sorry, not enough time to photograph.

Location: Old Woking, Surrey GU22
Time: 06.30

Sightings of hawk moths in UK appear to be getting more common (relatively), is this because we are getting warmer?

hope this is of interest
